I can’t believe it has been over a year since I have even touched my blog and written a post. Soooo much has happened since then-some good and some bad and if I’m being honest I had strongly considered giving up blogging completely. I have been busy at work and just overall stressed beyond belief that it made me lose sight of a lot of things. I definitely haven’t been the happiest lately but today I just felt like getting back into it. I know it may never turn into my career but it has been something I’m passionate about and it just doesn’t seem right to give it up. For those of you who have stuck around: thank you, and for the newcomers: thank you! I am looking forward to a fresh new chapter.
Hey all! There is A LOT going on right now so I wanted to keep this short and sweet. I am sharing a few of my recent posts for the month of May. I can’t believe it is almost June. Hopefully better things are in store.
Happy Friday everyone! I just wanted to share a few of my recent IG/Like to know it pictures in case you missed them. I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial day weekend. I don’t have any fun plans aside from working and attemtping to stay safe and sane during this pandemic. Until next time!
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy! I know the quarantine has been a tough time for all of us but I also hope that it has taught us all some lessons. I know it definitely has for me and one of the lessons I’ve learned is: to slow down. I think we all can relate to being go, go, go most of the time and it causes us a lot of stress and can lead to us not being able to live in the moment. Social media can definitely make it harder on us and can also make us compare ourselves to others in many ways. I will admit that I compare myself to others daily, especially on social media. The important thing to remember is: no one is posting their failures for everyone to see!
We all grow and accomplish things at different rates and that’s okay! Olivia Rink (one of my favorite bloggers) just wrote on one of her Instagram posts: “The opposite of busy is not lazy”, and that really stuck with me. I believe that sometimes we all have a tendency to think if I am not currently being productive or working on something 24/7 that it translates to being lazy. The truth is there is nothing wrong with that! You are allowed to be unproductive and that still doesn’t make you lazy! You are allowed to take time off from working, you are allowed to take time to yourself, you are allowed to take social media breaks. We are all human and we are not meant to be working every second of every day. I am sure this virus has shown us some of that and as heartbreaking as this has all been I hope it teaches us to stop and appreciate our lives a bit more. We should be happy if we take things slower or don’t work at the same rate as others. It’s okay and it’s healthy! Sometimes you need to just sit on your couch in your pajamas and netflix and chill for the day. That doesn’t make you lazy, it makes you real! Thank you all for reading!!!
Sorry for the delay in blog posts guys! I’ve definitely been posting a lot more on instagram and the liketoknow.it app instead of my blog. I have been doing a lot of simple posts lately where I round up some of my latest instagram posts/looks and share them with you all on here with shoppable links. I don’t want to forget where I started though and that is my blog! Sometimes it is nice to come back to my own little corner of the internet and not only share my looks with you but also my thoughts and feelings. I have a lot of great posts coming up that are more personal and hopefully some good reads so I’m super excited to share that with you all. Thank you all so much for the continuous support. I love that so many of you reach out to me or even support me by purchasing something from my links. It truly means the world to me! Stay safe and let’s get through this together!!!
Hey guys! I just wanted to share something that we could probably all use right now: hand soap! I know we are all washing our hands now more than ever and it is super important to use something that won’t dry your skin out. This hand soap from Raw sugar is vitamin enriched and ensures that while your hands are getting cleaned that they also stay hydrated. I have super dry skin so this is a MUST for me. It is phthalate, paraben and sulfate free so you can feel good about what you are putting on your skin. It is super affordable ($5!) and I have read that for every product you buy, Raw sugar donates a bar of soap to a family in need. So amazing! I hope you all are staying safe and healthy. Don’t forget to wash your hands!
This is my new favorite highlighter and I am obsessed with Physician’s formula products. You can read a previous post where I talk about the bronzer here.
Happy Saturday! I just wanted to round up a few of my latest Instagram posts in case you missed them. I hope you all are having an excellent weekend and staying safe. Don’t forget to practice social distancing!
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your time home during this difficult time. I just wanted to share the new bathrobe that I am completely obsessed with. It is the absolute softest robe I have ever owned and it is under $25! It comes in a variety of colors as well and I literally think I might order another one. It is perfect for lounging around the house and it would also make a great gift. I will admit I haven’t ordered a ton from Amazon lately but I received this robe within three days of ordering it and I was so happy with how fast it shipped. Thank you Amazon prime! Ps make sure to follow me on Liketoknowit (it’s a free app from the app store) to instantly shop all of my looks. Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
Hi guys! I hope you are all having a great day. I wanted to share this super fun and comfy look that is perfect for working from home. As you can probably tell from several of my posts, I have been all about this tie dye trend. This look reminds me that there are brighter days ahead and that is one of the reasons why I love it because that is probably something we all need to remember. I am sure several of you are going a bit stir crazy from being home all day so I wanted to share one of the challenges I am currently participating in. It is called the #stayhomegetdressedchallenge. I first heard about it from @jesskeys_. It has a checklist of so many fun and different looks that you can style while staying at home! This is my first look from the challenge: leggings but make it fashion! Anyone who participates in the challenge during the month of April should use the hashtag #stayhomegetdressed and tag @jesskeys_ and she will donate 5 cents for every post to a local Chicagoland hospital. Super amazing! Let me know if you plan on participating because I’d love to share your looks as well!
Hey guys! It has been such a weird time lately for all of us and it has definitely put me in a funk, content-wise. These last few weeks have probably been my least productive as far as creating content goes. I just haven’t had the heart to get up and shoot new and fun looks when everything else going on around us is so depressing. Lately, I’ve been sharing a lot of older looks with funny captions so I hope you’ve enjoyed those and that they’ve made you smile during these tough times. These looks are from some of the shoots I did last week and posted on Instagram. I wanted to share them here just in case you missed them. I hope you are all doing well and staying safe and healthy. We will all get through this!
