Hey guys! Can you believe 2019 is coming to a close? We are about to enter a new decade! The end of the year is a great time to reflect and I truly feel that I have so much to reflect on. I have had a crazy year between starting my blog, moving and getting a new job(s). The one thing that I have really come to understand is that everything happens for a reason. I have always believed that but lately it has seemed more true than ever.
Last week I took a work trip to Madison, Wisconsin (read more about it here). I really enjoy traveling and even though it was just for work I wanted to make sure I took some time for myself. On my drive back to Minnesota, I stopped at Devil’s lake state park which is where these pictures are from. It was so pretty! There is nothing like taking a break and checking out nature to really put some things in perspective. I didn’t spend a ton of time exploring because it was cold and I had a long drive back but I am so glad I took the time to stop and take it all in.
Checking out the scenery there (as cliche as it is) really made me realize how great life is. I have had a lot of ups and downs lately but the old saying “good things come to those who wait” is really starting to ring true for me. I am so grateful for the way my life is going currently even though I still have days where I question my exact path.
Since we are about to enter a new year, I just wanted to remind you all that you are right where you are supposed to be at this time. It may not feel like it right now and you may not even understand why things are unfolding the way they are, but trust in the fact that everything truly happens for a reason. Wishing you all the best!
