Finding the right bra

Did you know that 8 out of 10 women are wearing the wrong size bra? Wearing the wrong size bra is not only uncomfortable but can lead to some health problems such as breast pain as well as breast skin damage. In order to find out my correct size I went to Nordstrom for a fitting. I always thought I knew my correct bra size but I was wayyyy off.

It is so important to make sure you are not only wearing the correct band size but also the correct cup size. Some sizes are “sister sizes” and you can go up a cup size when changing the band size. Here are some of the tips I learned when getting sized.

-You want your bra to fit on the loosest hook since it will stretch over time.

-When measuring for band size, you want to measure underneath the breasts along the ribs since the breast tissue may actually throw off the measurement.

-The center part of the bra should lay flat against your chest.

-You want the wire to lay on your ribcage. If it lays against the soft breast tissue the cup size is too small.

If you are unsure of your bra size (or even if you think you know it) I would 100% recommend heading to your nearest Nordstrom for a bra fitting. The employees in the lingerie department are certified to fit you and they are so helpful. I was able to find out my actual bra size and leave with my new favorite bra! The color is so pretty and I love the lace detailing. It also comes in several other colors and the best part? This style is part of the anniversary sale in several of the colors! P.S. the anniversary sale is now open to everyone regardless of if you are a cardholder or not! Thank you all so much for visiting. Have a great weekend!
